Do God’s holy angels really kill people? How do we understand the story of the angel that smote 185000 Assyrian soldiers? Does Christ truly speak the words “These people must die for now, go and execute them!” Did Jesus hide this part of the character of God when He came to this earth? Jesus never executed anyone while here. If executing people is part of His character then why did He not reveal this while here on earth? For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. Realization of the Faith to Overcome

Twenty years ago – July 2001 – my entire being was in a deep struggle. I had been addicted to cigarettes for more than 10 years and now I was a baptized SDA and I still couldn't shake my habit.

I'd been praying: "God please take away the cigarettes." As I write the words today it seems kind of silly to pray like that, but I hadn't seen the error in my thoughts yet.

Identity Message Brings Freedom

I have been sharing your book Identity wars with a number of my friends. Everyone of them have identity issues. Some come from a very abusive background and grew up looking for worth in all the wrong places. Another friend used drugs and attempted suicide and still has some serious concerns. One other has issues with power, position, money, education. Another person who is a Roman Catholic, called me yesterday and told me she was reading the chapters I am translating into Spanish, even though she is not a reader and has no interest in things we believe as Seventh-day Adventists. A young woman who stayed with us a few days has lots of problems as well. I was sharing with her the comparison you made in your book between Lucifer and Absalom, and she was really touched by it.
